Cape York
Cape York is a gamified piece as a response to the writing Steel Axes for Stone–Age Australians by Lauriston Sharp. The article unfolds a story of how the life of stone-axe-operating aboriginal clan Yir Yoront, residing in Cape York of northern Australia was changed by the introduction of steel axes by the western travelers. The game is designed based on a set of playing card with customized visual styling of the aboriginal subject, including suit design and background pattern design. The design of the game mechanics is inspired by the trading and hunting activities occurring in the community.
